Did you know that over 90% of all gum and teeth problems begin between the teeth? Taking care of your gums and between the teeth can eliminate many of your dental issues, possibly save your teeth and ultimately save you a lot of money. There is a space that surrounds each tooth, called the sulcus. This is the area that we need to keep clean and healthy to optimize our dental health. If you experience tender, bleeding or sore gums, chances are you are heading towards a new dental bill. The key is to get the problem under control and then use a simple but proven 3 Step process to maintain healthy gums.
Dr. Behm developed a simple, inexpensive and effective way to improve the health of the gums around 20 years ago. This simple maintenance program was developed to help anyone efficiently and inexpensively improve the health of their gums no matter what the current condition. This simple process improves redness, swelling and bleeding of the gums and minimizes the need for surgery.
Bacteria, Plaque and Tartar
The important thing to do is to break up and remove plaque and bacteria that forms around the teeth and gums at least once every 24 hours. This system is for anyone who wants to eliminate the dental disease process on their own or can also help you regain healthy gums and teeth.
Perhaps you’ve seen weeds growing out of a rain gutter. They look a little out of place, don’t they? Well, the reason they’re growing there is because there is nutrition and a favorable environment for them to grow. A similar thing occurs in the sulcus. The more space, the more it will support the growth of life that shouldn’t be there, as this is a warm, wet, oxygen-free environment with lots of food that’s already been chewed! In just 24 hours bacterial deposits will form into colonies around the teeth and gums. These growing bacterial colonies if left unchecked will build up and become stronger. The by-products of the bacteria is toxic to our body. This is why our gums become inflamed as our immune system is trying to rid the body of these dangerous toxins. If the symptoms of bleeding, swelling and redness aren’t treated or reduced this is when the teeth are affected and eventually even lost.
Here’s a Simple 3 Step Solution to Healthy Gums/Teeth
Step #1 Special Gum Health Mixture
Combine 3 Tbsp of Baking Soda with 1 Tbsp Himalayan Salt (or other Mineral Salt), fine grind in a small jar with a lid. Shake until blended. Keep this in the bathroom to use daily. Then just add a couple drops of Hydrogen Peroxide 3% to form a paste. (Do not use this if you have metal fillings – you can use colloidal silver in place of the peroxide)
Using a very soft brush, angle at a 45 degree angle to get to the place where the tooth meets the gum. Gently push the brush into this space with these healing ingredients and then using a wiggling/vibrating motion, repeat until you have it all covered. Don’t use big circles or rotations when brushing. Spit between the process as necessary. Start with this just once daily for the first couple days, then add a second application daily. You should notice a great improvement to the health of your gums in as little as a couple of days, depending on the current condition. After two week, you should have bright pink-white gums with no swelling.
Step # 2 Next you will want to “exercise” the gums to get good blood flow and improved circulation. The second step requires a Butler Rubber Tip Gum Stimulator (as pictured here but you should be able to get this at any drugstore.) This step should only be started once the gums have settled down a bit and are looking and feeling healthier. It should be added after consistently using Step 1 for about 2 weeks. The rubber tip will further help the swelling in your gums go down. Use the rubber tip inserted into the spaces between each tooth and rub up and down for maximum contact in this area.
Step # 3 Floss
Flossing will be your ongoing maintenance of the new healthier gums you have created with Step 1 and 2. When buying floss keep in mind that thicker is better as more surface area will give more contact with the sulcus.
Additional Care Option:
You can also invest in a Waterpik system that can drastically reduce the formation of plaque and tartar. Using an irrigation system rinses away bacteria with the force of its stream/pulse of water.
So try these steps for a more natural approach to dental care and keep smiling!
